The city of Canton (now called Guangzhou) is a bustling port city, located on the southern coast of China, which has been open to the West since the 7th century. This image, taken by Chinese photographer A. Chan, provides a wonderful sense of a street, with a multitude of shop signs and traditional paper lanterns cascading down from above, that A. Chan gave the name Heavenly Peace.
