Biography

Born in February 22th 1975 in Nice, Benoit Grimalt spent his youth in the Alpes Maritimes. He decided to go to Paris and entered the Goblins School of image.

He started working as an photographer assistant and published portraits and still lifes photos in some magazines. He bought a Rolleiflex camera and launched into long series of portraits of illustrators and cartoonists.

Since then, he has been working with the press: regularly with Telerama, two years with Zurban and La Vie, with Bayard Presse and communication agencies such as Agence, the label K Records, Anne Willi the designer....

His graphic universe which is full of humor shows images much different from the reality that Benoit Grimalt'd like to laugh at and discover with impertinence.
